Wednesday Gaming – Meta Lawsuit, Google, The Last of Us and MORE!

– Thirty-three separate US states are suing Meta, which owns Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp, for intentionally implementing features deemed harmful to children and teenagers.
– Per a statement from New York state attorney general, Letitia James, Meta are willfully and knowingly profiting “from children’s pain by intentionally designing its platforms with manipulative features that make children addicted to their platforms while lowering their self-esteem”, thus contributing to “a national youth mental health crisis.”
– Google is currently investigating reports of users’ recently uploaded files going missing from Google Drive. For now, users are advised not to disconnect an account from within the desktop Drive app, nor delete or move the app data folder.
– According to Capcom, “Dragon’s Dogma 2” is scheduled for launch on 22 March 2024. The single player, narrative-driven, action-RPG will be made available to play on the PS5, the Xbox Series X|S and on PC.
– Neil Druckmann, the president of Naughty Dog, says that the studio is currently working on “other projects.” However, he could neither confirm nor deny if one of these projects could potentially be “The Last of Us: Part III”.
